I’m Febin K. Mathews born on 19th September 1981 in Kottayam District of Kerala. When I was just 3 month old I came to Kapurthala District of Punjab. I did my schooling from Christ King Convent School, Kapurthala; St. Thomas School, Jalandhar; and my high school from Govt. Senior Secondary School, Kapurthala. I have a diploma in System Management from Aptech then worked as a Marketing executive in Aptech Computer Education, Software Solution Integrated, and senior sales executive in the Airtel Premium Preferred Dealership, office manager in Aglow Finance and Education Society.
I was brought up in the fear of the Lord and was an active, calm and energetic youth in the church. At the age of 13 I took water baptism (27th March 1994) and was filled with Holy Spirit on the very next day (28th March 1994). I studied well till my class 10th. . I used to pass my exam with God marks. But when I entered my high school, I become disobedient to my parents and was not willing to study any more. I used to miss and bunk my classes. In the mean time I was doing my diploma in System Management from Aptech Computer Education. I got a job of lab instructor. I worked there as lab instructor and Marketing executive for almost 9-10 months. I used to enjoy with the money that I earned. But my mother used to warn me “One Day God Is Going to Catch You”. God really caught me I had an Ano-fistula, which was detected in the last stage when the opening of the pus was toward the spinal cord. Doctors told me that I have to be on the bed for 6 months and the surgery will take at least 3-4 hours. They were going to plant a colostomy bag on the left side of my belly. My doctors gave me date for November 1999 , but my doctor went abroad for his studies, then in December 1999 I went for my surgery, but again my doctor said that you should not miss you Christmas and academics so again my surgery was postponed. Mean while I was worried why is this happening to me. Before my surgery my church announced a fasting for 3 days for my surgery. In this fasting prayer Pastor M. George (Jalandhar) filled in the Holy Spirit told me that my body will not have a cut or stitch. I laughed like Sarah and said how this is possible and the doctors told me all about the seriousness and were mentally preparing me. I thought that what this pastor knows about science and telling me that there will be no stitch and cut. My closest friend and my elder brother Late Maj. Lalson Varghese gave me a promising verse from II Corinthians 12:9 “My Grace is Sufficient for you”. At last on 8th August I was admitted to Christian Medical College, Ludhiana. God did a MIRACLE. Praise the Lord the surgery which was suppose to be for 3-4 hours was finished in just 1 ½ hour. When I was laying in the recovery room my Mom came to me and the first question I asked was whether I have the colostomy bag. She said Ella Mone (no son). I could not believe that I told my mom to place my hands on my belly because I was not fully in my sense (unconscious). I placed my hands all over my belly and could not feel any thing. I cried to God and said that God you have me a new life and from today on I’ll serve you till the last breath of my life. You won’t believe, the fistula was burned because of the power of prayer. And the doctors did not cut but rather scooped that portion, so God kept His words there was no stitch and cut on my body. The doctors who told me that I’ll be on bed for at least 6 months made me walk on the 6th day and took me to the OM Books fair along with my Mom and my nurse (Mini Didi, Daughter of Pr. Thanks Raj, Pathankot) and brought me a souvenir.
In 2001 I went to ICPF Charal Kunnu Camp which had put a great impact for the ministry, full time ministry. I was challenged by Prof. D. Joshua’s message. But when I came back to Punjab I got a very good job, which was senior sales executive in the Airtel Premium Preferred Dealership. I was success full but I had given my life for full time ministry, I later became a failure, in my initial days I was like Joseph (Genesis 39:2-3). But that was not the plan that God had for me. Mean time I got a clear call from God to be a fulltime minister and therefore in June 2003 I joined Luther W. New Junior Theological College (NTC) Dehradun and I graduated with the Bachelors in Theology from NTC on 23rd February 2008. I also have a Diploma in Drums from School of Praise Worship and Music (Rayakotta). From the age of 12 God has been using me in different places and in different capacities. I have the talent of playing all leather instruments, specialized in drums, singing and translation. I have taught drums in the May school of School of Praise Worship and Music (Rayakotta) from 2004-2007. I also played Tabla and Dholak in the album named Surbhi, The Fragrance bought by NTC in 2004. I have translated in some of the mega conventions held in Bhogpur in 2006, Nakodar in 2006 and in Gaklan, Jalandhar in 2007. I had the privilege to translate God’s servants like Late Br. V. M. Mathai (editor of Good News Malayalam Weekly), Rev. Dr. K. S. Abraham, Pastor K. Koshy (Secretary IPC Punjab Region), Pastor Jacob John (Ex-Vice-president of IPC Punjab Region), Rev. K.C. John (Kerala), Late Rev. K. V Kurian (USA), Rev. Mathew Samuel (USA), Late Rev. John Daniel (USA), Dr. Idicheria Ninan (Principal, IPC Kottayam Theological Seminary), Rev. George Chavanikamanil (Founder of New Theological College, Dehradun) Rev. K. J. Kuriakose (President, Christian Evangelist Assemblies), Pastor Alias Jacob (UAE), Pastor Srinivas (Dubai) Pastor Anison Samuel (Canada), Dr. Koshy T. Vaidian (USA) Pastor Nelson (Bellari) and many more servants from far and wide the globe. I’m also involved in the ministries of Inter Collegiate Fellowship in Delhi. I know Malayalam, Punjabi, English, and Hindi, Tamil (a bit to talk and to understand).
God used me in different places like Kerala, Bangalore, Pune, Bombay, Punjab Delhi and Uttaranchal. I have also served as a faculty in Punjab Bible College, Ludhiana which is affiliated to India Bible College. In my family we are four people I have my Dad Rev. K. M. Mathew who was a missionary to the northern parts of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu Kashmir. Presently he is the Senior Pastor of IPC Bethel Church and he is used by God all-over the globe. My mom Mrs. Thankamani Mathew is a house wife and she is a prayerful lady. I can proudly say that what I’m today is only because of her prayers and her tears from the day I came to this world. I’ve a younger brother Praisemon K. Mathews, who is doing his B. Tech. from Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar Punjab. He is a talented musician and he is known for his wardrobe selection and fast driving. On 23rd April 2009 I got married to Milincy, she is a Ph. D. student in Jamia Millia University Delhi. She was a former Lecturer of Ansar Women’s College, Trichur Kerala.
We as a family stand together for the extension of the kingdom. My dad and mom always pray that both their son should be in the ministry. I still remember once my daddy said in the congregation that I want my sons to take this Black Leather Bound book HOLY BIBLE and preach from it. As some said that if you carry this black bound book, after some time this Black Leather Bound book will carry you. It’s a true statement; God has taken me in different states of India and made me to share from this Black Leather Bound Book. I have ministered in different parts of Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Delhi, Maharastra and Punjab. At present I’m working for IBM and also the associate of pastor The Redeemed Evangelical Church of God International. This is an African Church in Delhi. I’m the associate Pastor in the Kingsway Parish.
I need your valuable prayers for my future ministries that God may use me mightily for the extension of his kingdom. This is all about me.
